Our paint is absolutely matte, with a gloss level of less than 3%—one of the most matte finishes available on the market. This means that less light is reflected from the paint surface, allowing you to fully experience the true depth of the colors. The characteristic, rich colors of Cover Story, including even the lightest shades, appear even more vibrant, helping you achieve the perfect result.
With Cover Story wall and ceiling paints, you can paint untreated and previously painted panel, wood, board, and stone surfaces indoors. The paints are also suitable for wallpaper and brick and masonry surfaces. Thanks to their excellent breathability, Cover Story paints are perfect for interior log surfaces as well. For previously untreated surfaces, we recommend our 000 PRIMER primer.

For us, being plastic-free is a principled choice. The production of plastic pollutes our environment and has a significant impact not only on the oceans and nature but also on human health. Plastic is made from fossil fuels like oil and gas, through a process that generates carbon dioxide emissions. By reducing plastic consumption, we reduce the need for its production. Less plastic means less carbon dioxide emissions. For this reason, our paints are plastic-free.
Water-Based, Emission-Free, and Odorless
Today, almost all interior paints are water-based. While being water-based is a good thing, it doesn’t necessarily make the paint environmentally friendly or safe. Many water-based paints can still contain harmful VOC emissions and plastic. Because we want to create better paints, all Cover Story paints are plastic-free, emission-free, and VOC-free. The paint also contains no ammonia, formaldehyde, or carcinogenic substances, meaning it is odorless.
Breathable
Our plastic-free paint does not form a film on the painted surface but allows the materials to breathe naturally. Acrylic paints use chemically produced binders that form a plastic film on the painted surface, which reduces the surface’s breathability and can lead to mold growth in the worst cases. For this reason, we use renewable natural oils as the base for our paint binders—they are plastic-free and ideal for interior surfaces.
